Annual Christmas Song

I do this every year! Time for the annual Christmas song!

BOW DOWN

BOW DOWN

BEFORE THE POWER OF SANTA

OR BE CRUSHED

BE CRUSHED

BE CRUSHED...

BY...

HIS JOLLY BOOTS OF DOOM!!!

Don't know the words but it's stuck in my head anyways.

I've been watching the "There She is!!" series way to often recently, and the song from the final step is stuck in my head. I just love Doki and Nabi, they're so frikking cute. I even doodled them on the whiteboard at my friends office just for kicks lol.

So just over a week till Space gets here. Man I'm so broke. XD I'm afraid to look at my bank account lol. Oh well, I get paid the day he flies in, so things *should* be fine. Piss off the credit cards for a month, I don't care. XD;

Gah. Need to get off my butt and finish some projects, like the Xmas theme for the WLO site. It's all pretty n green, but now it needs a banner. I'm so sick of using clip art I find on the net, it's just not professional. So I've trying to draw the banners n things myself. Trying to think of what to do for it though...

...lol. I just got a goofy idea. Ok. I'll go with that.

Oh yeah, craft fair was awesome. I won a $200 gift basket full of food, plus an $80 gift certificate to the grocery store. We really needed the boost there, that really helped fill the cupboards. Now all we need is meat, which I've been saving for for months, we'll pick it up when we go to pick up Space.

Back to stuff I need to do, I got 3 ponies due I need to finish. Finished 1 last night, just need to trim the hair a bit I think. Mail those out when I get paid too... 3 more to go, FINALLY got an idea for that damn candy pony, I'm going to try and work on it tonight. My goal it to get all of them done before Space arrives. We'll see how well that flies over.

...Damnit I've had a craving for chicken fingers for months now, but you can't GET any here! ...well, not any GOOD ones. Fast food place here literally makes me sick, and I refuse to step foot in the restaurant. Meh. I wonder if the store has any frozen ones I can pick up for supper...

...yknow, I REALLY hate clients that ask em to "Send there resume out to every mine in BC and the Yukon". Uh... NO. MORON. We don't mass email, and wouldn't you kinda wanna know WHERE YOU'RE APPLYING? *sighs* Stupid humans.

Well, back to work it seems. Yay me.

So it's Almost December.

Hot damn this year went by fast. Hard to believe it's almost Christmas already. Not that I'm complaining, it's less then 3 weeks until Space gets here! I'm super excited for it, be the first time I didn't have to wait to fucking years to see him again. Won't have a lot of money for the holidays, but we'll make do. Always have. Got all my Christmas shopping done already, which is awesome. Checked my accounts, and they took the cash for moms present outa my Visa so that SHOULD mean it's on it's way. Bothered that it won't arrive by her birthday on the 26th but *sighs* dad n I never seem to have any luck with her gifts. No matter how early we try, we can never get it to arrive on time. >.>; But if all works out, we should get it by end next week. Dads has been ordered, as long as those idiots at HH don't phone HOME when it arrives, I should be fine. >.>; Oh well. Still plan to get dad something else to... we'll see. Space's stuff is ordered and on it's way, same with Acerras... got RK's already, need to ship it down to him. I'm aiming to send it on Tuesday. Yah, he'll get it way before Xmas, but he doesn't care lol.

Crafts Fair this weekend... didn't enter a table this year, just had too many other things to worry about. But it'll be nice not to, to get to just wander and look at everything for a change. Maybe I'll find some more goodies for gifts. Probably going to go overboard with the gifts again this year, and even though I can't really afford to do so, I enjoy buying things for my family. It's more fun then getting presents to me.

So yah, Space will be here on Dec 11th. Dad n I are driving up to pick him up at 1am. Dad doesn't wanna stay in the hotel, but I told him Space will be in no mood to drive back that late soooo we're gonna stay the night lol. I hate night driving anyways, it bothers me. Too many animal sightings lately too, makes it more dangerous to go at night. Daytime is much better. Dad n I will do a bunch of shopping in WH for groceries, just meat mainly. I've had $400 set away for months now JUST for groceries. Or at least I've tried. I've used it and put it back like 30 frikking times by now. Just that time of the year.

Looking forward to Space being here. Gonna be busy the first few days lol. The day we get back is the Clinic staff party, so we'll get home like noon, then at 6pm is the party. ^_^ Oh well, it'll be fun. I enjoy the Clinic parties, lots of good food, and the gift exchange game is always a blast. Gonna pick up something for Space to give so he can play too. XD I'll also be the driver that night, which I don't mind doing. Always prefer to drive then have someone who's drunk drive.

...Bit worried though. Dawn had a medical appointment up in WH yesterday, to find out when she needs surgery. If it's soon, then I'll lose my vacation time and have to work while Space is here. If it's in January I'm ok though. From what I've heard on the news n stuff, the WH Hospital is so backlogged right now they're pushing all non emergent things back, so I'm hoping that her's gets pushed back till January, but I won't know until she returns tomorrow. If I have to work it's gonna suck... Sure Space can come hang out here all day because it's SO quiet I get like 5 clients a day but still... I want to spend all my time with him. I don't want to work. ...guess I'll know tomorrow whether or not I get my vacation. So either tomorrows entry will be a big "YAY!" or a whole bunch of foul language. We'll see. >.>

In any case, we're planning things to do while Space is here. Heidi n I are going to rent the giant inflatable big toy the rec plex has. It's got a climbing wall, slide, maze, all sorts of things, it's longer then my house. XD Why yes, we're big kids, why do you ask? XD If the ski hill is open I want to take him skiiing too, but right now there's not enough snow yet. I know we probably won't go further then the bunny hill, but I'd like to take him to the top of the face, cause it's such a beautiful view from way up there. Even if we have to walk down the damn mountain. XD

Also we're gonna take him sledding, hopefully at Acerra cabin cause there's big long hill there. I want to bring my ATV so we can be lazy and ride up the hill. XD Space can play on the ATV so if he falls off he's only falling into snow. XD If we can't go there, then we'll try for the gun range road, that's a pretty decent hill too.

Dad wants to try n go down to the river on the quads. THAT will be entertaining, we dunno if they'll make it through the snow. Dad's built a "snow boat". It started as a sled and spawned from there. it looks awesome though, and should pull really well on the quad. If it does, we can ride it in and tow it around with the quad. I think if there's only 1 person per machine and the other 2 being towed, the quads *should* plow the snow. Either way, it'll be a fun day to try!

Oh, and a hot springs trip is a must. Just sucks that the lodge is closed, so we can't stay the night. ...well I guess we COULD, but it'd be a little cold sleeping in the van. XD;

Dunno what else we'll do yet... probably a few movie nights at Acerra watching movies on her giant projector. (totally want that setup XD) Other then that, hanging around the house, playing video games... just relaxing n taking it easy.

Anyways this entry is long enough (see what happens when I don't post very often?) I got other things to do.

I hate my hair.

I really do. It's all poofy and frizzy and.. GAH! I wanna just chop it off. Getting too long for my tastes anyways. >.> Gotta find out when that hair guy is in town again...

Anyways, 11 days till Halloween, and no snow on the ground. YAY! It's snowed on and off, but it's been melting throughout the days. The longer we go without snow, the happier I'll be lemme tell ya. Speaking of Halloween, been decorating the office. Woulda been more fun if my coworker was here too to help, but she's off on medical. :\ Meh, oh well. Need to get the step ladder from home, I can't reach where I wanna put some things up like the streamers... Not standing on any chairs and having my foot go through em. XD;

So... meh. Yknow I had a lot to say in this thing till I sat down. Now I can't think of a damn thing. Oh well.

So here I sit.

Coworkers on vacation, so I'm alone this week. And bored.

So very... bored.

I gotta update the WLO website, but I can't bring myself to work on html right now. Just too tired to do that. Haven't been sleeping well in weeks, and last night was no exception. Woke up at 4am to dad laughing and giggling like a schoolgirl. He bought a new woodstove yesterday after YEARS of needing one, and is just so giddy at how well it works. Stock the stove and 8 hours later the damn thing is STILL burning without him having to top it up every few hours. This is a MUCH needed improvement, because in the winter with the old stove, he was having to stock it every 3-4 hours, so the poor guy wasn't sleeping much in the winters. :\ Now, he can stock it and not worry about it. Plus, pretty new stove has a glass door, so he can sit and watch the fire. He likes doing that lol.

Then at 6am, I'm awakened to a shriek and a "AWW FUCK!" I bolt up, and it's ODDLY DARK in the house... town wide power failure, and poor mom was in the shower! So after a blast of very hot, then very cold, bye bye water, and she was in the middle of doing her hair. Course it's now pitch black in the bathroom, so I gave dad my little flashlight to go give to her. Heh. So I try to go back to sleep till 8, then get up, get ready for work, and came in half hour early. Why...? I dunno. Bored I guess. Nothing to do at home. Whatever. Take a little longer lunch then.

So.... bah. I really need to start writing in here again, been slacking a lot. I blame Twitter really. Easier to type a quick quip in there then type a whole entry here. I can totally see the allure of the place now. Oh well.

Waiting for my new computer to arrive. SHOULD have been here on Monday. If it's not here by tomorrow morning, Dell gets a nasty phone call. Meh. The tech who does all the clinics computers gave mom a Ghost disk for me to use to copy moms computer to my old one to repair it, but I'm waiting for my new one to show up, just in case I fuck it up and need to search Google in a panic lol.

...need to clean my room. It's such a mess. Finally got the last truckload of stuff out of my house, so it's all in my ROOM at the moment, piled all over the floor and boxes dumped everywhere. Need to finish sorting it and deciding where everything goes. What stays in the room, what gets boxed up for storage...etc etc. Amazing that at one point all that crap fit in a 12X12 bedroom... now I can't fathom how to make even a fraction of it fit in a 12X18 room... go figure.

Speaking of my trailer... I've had a LOT of people asking me about it lately, and plenty of people going "OH! I know so-and-so was looking for a place, I'll let them know!" So the word is out about it... but no bites yet. *sigh* I wish it would sell... I need to move on with my life. I have plans but I can't do a damn thing till it's GONE. But what can ya do I suppose... I should put up new posters today... some are missing. ...Yah. I'll do that.

Bah... can't think of more to type...

$2000 Paperweight

So the boss Shirley ordered us new computers. A woman who knows zilch about computers, orders CUSTOM SYSTEMS. Yah, can you see where this is going? *headdesk #1* So after a few week argument about what to get, finally the guy who was ordering them (he owns the local Source store) asks ME what *I* want in them, and places an order for what I say. YAY! Sounds great right?

Well it woulda been, if the guy he hired to put them together actually knew how to build PC's! So they arrived today, and boss is going over and over about "how careful I need to be" and "if you do anything wrong you can't fix it" uh... I know it's Vista but come ON, they're not THAT hard to fix! And to top it off, she's like "oh where's the disks? We need the disks!" so I tell her I know, but I didn't get the disks, and she starts telling me how much we need them and I'm like we'll GET them, one thing at a TIME here! It's all reinstalled already, let me worry about the stupid disks later! Dawn finds them in a box and shes like "we need to install these". Did I NOT just say things were PREINSTALLED?! Bad enough I got Shirley nattering in my ear, then Dawn starts up with the same shit.

BACK.

OFF.

Stop asking me questions, just give me the equipment and BUGGER OFF.

So after Shirley finally leaves, I get to work and hook up my new computer.

At least, I tried. Black screen. WTF? No screen, no light. Oh JOY. *headdesk #2* So I figure ok, maybe it just doesn't have the driver to the new flatscreen, so I steal the old CRT form the old dell in the main office. Nope. No dice, no good, no work. *headdesk #3* So I call the Source guy who has the tech guy who "built" these call me. His reply? "Try another monitor". How many do you WANT me to try?! So I try them ALL and NOTHING. And to top it off, Dawns going "well why can't you just download a new driver?" Oh wonderful idea! Except THE COMPUTER CAN'T SEE THE MONITOR SO THE MONITOR DOESN'T WORK. THE SCREEN IS BLACK. I can't navigate the computer when I can't SEE THE SCREEN. *headdesk #4*

So to hell with it, I set mine aside, and try Dawns. Her's works fine to start. Great! Get it going, do the updates, everythings smooth...

Until I try and install Norton with a CD. Click the button. ...Nothing. Click the eject again. Nothing. No light, no whirr, nothing. ...*headdesk #5* Call Source again. "Oh it's probably a driver or something". Uhm... no... there's no POWER going to it... "Well, just leave it, we'll get Tech guy to look at it later".

So I'm sitting here, wondering why I even bother, and joking with Crystal the summer worker. I'm telling her I'm not even gonna attempt to open them, cause then I'll just get blamed for it. But as I sit there I look at my "new computer" doing it's best paperweight imitation and I figure... fuck it. Open the case and...

The CD drive is attached to nothing. That's right, NOTHING. All the cables are just hanging limply inside the machine. *headdesk #6* So I reattach them and wonder if Dawns comp is the same way. ..no... it can't be. No way they would have fucked up them both-*opens the case* Aw for FUCKS SAKE!!! *headdesk #7* That's right! NEITHER COMPUTER had their drives connected! You gotta be shitting me!! So I hook it up, and sure enough it works.

I get Dawns computer working all fine and happy, but still, mine won't use a monitor. So I call Source guy, who calls Tech guy who calls me. Tech guys explanation? "Oh, the cables sometimes fall off in shipping." *headdesk #8* BULL FUCKING SHIT!! How can they fall off in TWO BLOCKS?! What'd you do?! KICK them here?!

Oi.

So now my new computer is back in it's box, awaiting pickup, cause Source guy finally agreed that it "might be a motherboard problem". YA THINK?

I swear one of these days I'm gonna shoot something. I mean, to make matters more annoying, Dawns like "how come I can't print?"
...because it's not networked to the printer because my computer which is to be the master of the network isn't hooked up and because it's not WORKING??? "Well can't you just hook it up for me to use?" NO! How many times must I say NO?! You will WAIT until the computers are set up PROPERLY, and you will STOP WHINING about it! Take the flipping jump drive, go to the 3rd computer, and print off of IT. It's NOT THAT HARD! *headdesk #9* People just expect that this is sooo easy and I should have it fixed in 20 minutes! Well SURPRISE! It doesn't work that way, especially when you're given faulty equipment!

*growl*

One more bloody complaint outa anyone and I'm gonna quit. They can hook the fucking things up THEMSELVES. -_-; WHY couldn't they just let me order the stuff, build the system and install it all myself?

Oh, that's right, I forgot!

Apparently I "don't know anything about computers" according to Shirley.

And yet I'm the first one they call to fix anything electronic that breaks, and the first one to BITCH to when something doesn't work.

THANKS BOSS!

I just HAD to preorder Lala, the Comic Con exclusive Pullip! I mean really, for $70 she's one of the cheapest Pullips I've ever bought, but I bet once Comic Con is over and she's sold out, she'll skyrocket on ebay. ;)

"Puppies for Sale".

Digging around in my email account, I found an old email with this story in it. It still makes me smile and tear up a little, so I'd thought I'd share it.

-------------------------------------

Puppies for sale

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups. And set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then, reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer.
"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" He called. Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid.

Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" Asked the little boy.

"No charge," answered the farmer,

"There's no charge for love."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

I think I've given up on sleep.

Ok, first actual entry since arriving in Cali. Whee.

First of all, I'm tired. We've been doing lots and I've been living off less then 5 hours a sleep a night. Its not that we go to bed late or anything, it's just I CAN'T SLEEP. Be it too flipping hot, or just plain uncomfortable, sleep has avoided me once again. I swear I've woken up 4 times already with my arm either completely numb, or hurting so much I want to cry. My back has been aching too. Not Space's fault or nothing, just his bed is harder then a rock. He's really tried to make it better for me with extra blankets to sleep on n stuff, but it's just not helping really. :\ I really hope the beds at the Hilton in San Fran are soft. ^_^;

ANYWAYS... my early morning bitching out of the way... let's see, what have we been up to? Lessee how much I remember in my exhausted stupor.

Saturday, May 16th-
Drove up to Whitehorse. Snowed on an off the entire drive. Got there, did some last minute shopping. Mom and dad came up with me, which was cool, it's been YEARS since we've ALL been to WH together. They locked Rom up in the shop... he destroyed the door and a wall. XD; Anyways, went to a friends Bday party for an hour or two, came back to the hotel.
Bout 4 hours sleep, even after popping ativan. Whee.

Sunday, May 17th-
Got to the airport 6am. Was like the first person there, so the lady at the desk was super helpful and even gave me the paperwork I'd need for Vancouver customs (small city airport lol). Said goodbye to my rents, tried not to freak out and cry. ^_^; Went through security, my bag got nailed and searched (lolz). Apparently my GPS was on and set off the machine. Oopsy. XD No biggie, the security guy laughed.

Boarded the plane, nice plane and nice flight. Got TV's on the back of every seat, how cool. Watched "Hotel For Dogs".
(Heehee, Space is mumbling in his sleep. XD)
Uneventful flight, except the guy next to me was watching Seinfeld and giggling like a chipmunk the entire time lol.

Got to the Vancouver airport, promptly got LOST. Somehow wound up in the international/Chinese area of the airport, NOTHING was in English. oops. Finally found my way back and entered customs. Good thing I went to early, it took well over an hour! Went smoothly, but it was funny, my bag went through the scanner and the lady stops the belt. Looks at her Xray, tilts her head, calls another lady, she looks at it, and goes "...Sonic?" She looked at me, I laughed and nodded. I have my Sonic plushie in the bag! He goes everywhere with me! XD So she let the bag pass. Hung around in the airport till the flight, and again, pretty uneventful. ...except I crashed the little TV. o.o;; I pushed a few buttons, the screen went black, then the DOS prompt came up, and it EVENTUALLY rebooted. ...I still dunno what I did. XD; So I watched Bones and uh... The Mentalist. I think.

Landed in San Fran, got off the airplane. Followed the crowd down the stairs, and wandered. There was a security lady at one of the stairs, letting people go down but not up. So I walked by, and she was singing to herself. Not quietly either, just right out singing and boy did she have an amazing voice! So beautiful! I stopped and told her she did, and she was all surprised and bashful, smiling and thanking me. Then she just started singing louder and happier, I think I made her day lol.

So after being lost and a bit of phone tag, finally found Space and his mom & aunt. We headed back to his town, and pretty much just relaxed the rest of the night. Didn't sleep well, way too hot (this became a recurring theme unfortunately).

Monday, May 18th to Thursday May 21st-
Honestly we did so much I just can't remember when everything happened, so here's the highlights.

Went to a big mall in another city... I... don't remember which. o.o Went to the Disney Store! I woulda bought so many plushies if I had the room to ship em... XD Got classic Mickey and Minnie, cause I've always wanted a Mickey plushie and never had one! :P Got a DOnald Duck tshirt and a Nightmare Before Xmas one, but the NBC one is uh, too stretchy and kinda thin, so I'll be passing that one off to RK. He'll like it. XD

Went to Build-a-Bear. At first I wasn't gonna get one but Space dragged me back in there and well... XD Got a little puppy and dressed it up to look just like my character Chris. SO cute with his little booties! Have to get a pic of him. Space bought him for me, so sweet. :) I also made a panda bear dressed like a biker/doctor for mom to have at the clinic. So cute. XD

Went to Hot Topic, and FINALLY GOT A SONIC TSHIRT!!!! :D 2 actually, one is blue with Classic Sonic with his name around him, and the other is yellow with classic Sonic laughing and Japanese text around him. I really should bought more of the blue one. XD

Saw Monsters VS Aliens... in 3D! Funny movie, I loved it. XD Hugh Laurie (House) was one of the aliens, and he does the insane role SO well. 3D movies are cool XD

Watched the new Trek movie. I really enjoyed it, especially once they said "alternate reality", then I could accept it as a standalone movie. It was really good, McCoy and Scotty were hilarious.

Went to Bass Pro Shop, this HUGE hunting/fishing/camping store. got dad a few things he wanted, and we played the shooting range for a bit, that was fun.

uhm... what else...

Oh, a few nights ago I woke up at 3am, and it felt like somebody had punched me in the face. I was SO overheated I was gasping for air. It was hard to breathe and I was dizzy... ugh. Not fun. Dunno why it came on so suddenly... but Space was so sweet. He got up with me and he put ice packs on my feet and back and neck trying to cool me down... took awhile but I finally was able to go back to bed, and he said I pretty much passed out. Had myself covered in ice packs, I was just way too hot. Felt fine the next day though.

I know there's more, but I really can't think of it at the moment. Moving on...

Friday, May 22nd-
Went to Jack-In-The-Box for lunch before heading to Oakdale for the train. I was surprised, Jack's actually made a good burger, and yummy fries. o.o
Got to Oakdale at like... 2 or 3. Got to the hotel, nice place. Hung out for awhile, then went to the train.

The train ride was AWESOME! The view was so pretty and the train was really nice. We were supposed to be in the "Yosemite Falls" car, but the AC decided to fail, so they bumped us up to he "El Captain" car, which was the top of the line deluxe car! SWEET! Big booths with super soft high back seats, giant windows, and nice ac lol. The meal was fantastic, they started off with a shrimp platter, then a salad (they used watermelon in the salad- odd but YUM!), then beef tenderloin with potatoes and veggies for the main course, then this oh so yummy strawberry, blueberry and cream cheese pastry. mmmmmm!
Watched the murder mystery play, which was really funny. It was about these movie stars doing a movie on the train, but there was another actor who was going to take over their role, so they conspired to kill him. At the beginning the "director" had a giggle fit and couldn't say his lines. XD Later, two of the actors were bickering, and "Marco" was accusing "Destiny" of sleeping around and having so many husbands. (Marco was her 2nd and 5th one XD) So she looked at a random guy and said he was one of her hubby's too, then looked right at Space, and Marco accused her of "robbing the cradle"!!! XD She shouted "Oh no! He's not my husband! He was my first baby!" and gave Space a hug and scratched his head. Space totally played right into it too. XD
Later on, they were doing a "product placement" skit, and they had "X-ray glasses". Marco put them on and started bragging how he could "see everything", then he walked over, looked at me, leaned in and looked me up and down and went "Heeeeyyy there! How YOU doing? *GRIN*" XD XD XD
Perv. XD
So the show went on and was really good. Space was one of the two to figure out all the questions and solve the crime, but sadly the other person won the draw lol Ah well, was only a TShirt. The ride was a lot longer then we thought. We figured like an hour but it was 3 and a half. Very nice ride, I loved it.

Saturday, May 23rd-
Drove back from Oakdale where the train was. Got back, hung out for a little bit, then went uptown again. Hit Target, bought some scrap booking stuff cause I wanna make a book bout this trip. Did some other shopping. Then we went top the local arcade, which was fun, but a little disappointing cause SO MANY of the machines were out of order. :\ Still, I had a good time and kicked ass on a few games. Space and I wound up with 618 prize tickets, and really there was nothing WE wanted, so we found these two little kids, like ages 7 and 3, and just handed them the ticket voucher and said enjoy. XD They were pretty shocked, I don't think they knew just HOW MANY tickets that thing was worth. XD Woulda loved to see their parents face when these two little kids came back with a crapload of little toys lol.

After the arcade, we went to the theater, and decided to catch the new Terminator movie. While we waited, we played the mini arcade there, and like I posted last night, I won a 4gb IPod Nano! I totally happy screamed about that. XD Went and saw the movie, which was good, you're typical Terminator lol. Came back, relaxed, eventually went to bed. Woke up like 3 times during the night, been up since bout 6:40am. Whee.

...So yeah, here I am. Started typing at 7:13, here we are over an hour later. I'm tired, but I can't sleep. What a surprise. Space is sound asleep though, lucky bastard. Ah well. Suppose I should to brush my hair n stuff.... maybe get some breakfast, or at least some juice, my stomach is bugging me...

Look what I won at the arcade!! :D

So Space and I were at a theater today waiting to see the new Terminator movie, so we were in the little arcade there, and they had this "American Idol" arcade game. One of those "smack the button on the flashing light" deals to win a prize. Yknow, those type of games that generally are either rigged or damn near impossible to beat? Looks Like This. Well I was playing it, and won the "small prize" (the easy thing) twice. Got 2 little keychain flashlights. Whee. So I kept playing, and after about oh... $6, I couldn't believe it.

I WON!!! I won the BIG prize!!!

It was either a "High School Muscial" Wii Game or a 4 GB IPod Nano! NO CONTEST What I chose! :D :D :D

I won an IPod! *happy girl scream* I couldn't believe it! I thought like "no way, bullshit, it's gotta have another level or SOMETHING..." But nope! I chose my prize and it dropped down! I did a total "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!" And Space was all "WTF?" :XD He couldn't believe I won it! I was SO HAPPY! It works too! (Just need to install the Itunes or whatever lol) Talk about LUCK! :D

Totally TOTALLY made my day. :XD

*lolz* Coffee.

A client came in today (young guy, like 28), looked at the job boards, said hi, then he left. He comes in constantly, and is a bit of a goof off, likes to joke and tease me. 10 min later the phone rings, and it's him. He just wanted to let me know we didn't have coffee and he was disappointed. XD I was like blame my coworker, I don't make the coffee, I never have (I can't make coffee to save my LIFE... XD). He goes "You don't on purpose! You just don't want me to have coffee! *whine* You're so mean to me!"
I'm like "...yes. Yes I do. It's all because of you." he laughed and the whole phone conversation was about having coffee in the office and how he "lives" to come to our office for our coffee. I told him if I made the coffee he'd be hospitalized, and he said it "would be worth it to have the coffee".

The whole conversation made me laugh. Whatta screwball. XD

Perfume should be fucking illegal.

Mom and I were at the store today, and some stupid bimbo was wandering down the isles, just bathed in perfume. It was so fucking strong it radiated throughout the store! Poor mom has a severe perfume allergy, and within like two minutes of being in the store, she starts sounding like she's have a flu for a month. Her eyes were all puffy and her nose was plugged and she got a instant migraine. I grabbed what we needed so we could leave right away, and mom very loudly made a comment about how rude some people are drowning in the stank they call perfume. Mom was getting so sick that she said another two minutes in there and I would have been calling an ambulance for her, she could feel her throat closing up and making it hard to breath. That just pisses me off! I mean, its one thing to wear a tiny fragrance, but this woman had it CAKED on. People have severe allergies yknow! I don't want to be rushing my mom to the hospital because of one stupid bitch! Got mom home and she took some medication and now she's resting on the couch. What a way to fuck up her entire day, that just makes me so PISSED. Stupid fucking cunts...

So let's see....

Currently I have 986 Role play text documents saved on my computer. I want to go through them all, editing out all the "Spacemania says" and all the non RP chat in the files. So if I do an average of 5 files a day... it should take me about 197 days to get through them all. So like... 6 months.

...oi. vey. XD;

And then I have to go through the actual chat logs and filter out all the 2004 rp's from them, which should take another month or so on top of that.

Insane? Yeah, but it'll be worth it to have them all easily readable. XD I'm so glad I figured out the replace a word with a black space option... that will cut the time down by a lot. XD

One day I really should figure out just how many PAGES this all adds up to. I mean some RP's are as short as 10 pages at font 10, while others can be up to over 100 pages in one file. I honestly think saying we have over 10,000 pages of RP is underestimating it.

Well. One day.

You're all slaves, yknow that? All of you.

Note: I'm not pointing this at anyone. But everyone. All opinions are welcome. I won't delete or flame anyone, because I welcome peoples opinions. It's only fair, you're hearing mine.

So I've been surfing message boards, surfing journals, talking to people for a long time... and y'know what? You religious people are slaves. You just can't see it anymore. Let's look at the definition of "Slave", as quoted from Webster.

Main Entry: Slave
Pronunciation: \ˈslāv\
Function: noun
1 : a person held in servitude as the chattel of another
2 : one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence

Now, take that definition, and take a look at your own beliefs.

1 : a person held in servitude as the chattel of another
You "serve" your lord. You will have "no other" lords above him. Your god owns your ass. You can't make your own decisions, because his "good book" tells you what to do. A book, that wasn't written by "god", but by man. And rewritten. And rewritten. Over and over again, to suit the needs of the church at the time. Parts of "god's good book" have been taking out, others put back in, time and again. Yet you follow this. Like good little puppies, you allow yourselves to be leashed by "gods word" and allow it to lead your around by the nose. Which brings me to #2.

2 : one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence
Bow before god, do what god says, or you burn in hell. Isn't that the gist of it? Reminds me of the times of slavery, when if a black man didn't do exactly what the white man said, they'd kill him. Isn't that nice? Religion is dominating. It always has been. Not for the sake of "saving your soul", but for the sake of CONTROLLING the masses. You really think that the church gives a shit about saving your mortal soul? Yah, sure, as long as you give them money every Sunday. Praise their name, advertise for them, allow them to CONTROL you.

Yknow that's another thing that has always bugged me. Giving money to the church. "Non profit organization" my ass. They're out to make a living, just like every other business in the word, except guess what? They got the idea first.

But back to the control bit. The church always controlled the people. In olden times, only members of the church, and higher powers could read. Does it really take a genius to figure out why? Because that way they could say and do whatever they wanted, and no one could stop them, because no one KNEW better. They hold up a book and say it's "gods will". Well, if you can't read, and can't see for yourself what's in those pages, then obviously they must be messengers from god, and obviously they must speak the truth! Humans were so gullible back then.

But, I guess they still are.

Well, maybe more weak, then gullible. Why is it people can't live for themselves? People can't be good, for the sake of being good? Why would I need some damn book, or a preacher yapping at me every Sunday to keep me in line and make me behave? I, like all humanity, have something called free will. Meaning, I have the ability to choose over right and wrong, and surprisingly, it's pretty damn easy to choose "right"! I don't need a collar around my neck and a leash to drag me the right way. I'm a smart girl, I can figure it out on my own. If you can't survive without some "unseen force" pushing you through live, then you really need to reevaluate that life. Stand up on your OWN two feet and learn to walk on your own! Learn to live on your own!

Oh, going off on a tangent here, but here's the biggest thing I've heard and seen that just blows my mind. I guess this one comes from watching survival shows like Rescue 911 (fantastic show BTW, everyone should watch it on youtube). Now, I have no problem with the shows or their message or anything, it's just the recurring theme, and this happens so much in life too. It goes like this:

Accident/Disaster happens. People are hurt, maimed, mutilated, and or killed.
Example: A little boy is buried under 20feet of snow by a snowplow.

People weep, cry, panic, freak out, come together to help save/rescue/solve the accident or whatever.
Example: Rescue units and neighbors work their asses off digging the boy out.

Crisis is over, and victims survive, recover, etc in some amazing way.
Example: They pull the little boy out alive, even though the boy was under the snow for over an hour.

Ending reaction?
It's a "miracle!" "God" saved him! It was "God's will" that the little boy be okay.

If it was "God's will" that the boy were to survive, it MUST have been "God's will" to screw with everyone by burying the boy in the snow in the first place! Sounds like god is a cruel, sick bastard, if you ask me. Let's have some fun with the little humans, shall we? I'll just bury this innocent little child under some snow. Lets see if they can get him out in time!
Ready, set, GO! :D

And on that token, why is it always "God's will" and a "miracle from god" when someone is saved, but god is never really mentioned when someone dies or is hurt? I mean, you don't hear "Susy was raped and left out in a back alley to die from 17 stab wounds, but hey, that's cool. It was god's will".

OH, right right, free will. It was the persons choice to hurt Susy, god had nothing to do with it! God just chose NOT to save little Susy. Sorry Susy, but your shit out of luck, god didn't feel like imposing his will and saving you. :)

So, just to make it clear.... god is good. God can do no wrong. God saves people. When he does, it's a miracle. It's "gods will". But god is picky, and he'll only choose people at random to help. So when a natural disaster happens, and 100 people are killed, most little babies and children, but say 10 or so people survive, that's "god's will" that they survive, and all those innocent babies, who didn't do nothing to nobody, die horribly.

God's will!

...Yah. Makes a whole lotta sense to me. You're god is twisted. Oh right, I couldn't possibly understand gods work. I'm sorry. Guess I'll pay for it when I die huh?

AND THERE'S ANOTHER THING!!! You people and you're OBSESSION with DEATH! Bloody hell people! You waste your LIVES worrying about what's going to happen to you when you die! Does death scare you that much? Scare you so bad you have to make up all these things to convince yourself it won't be so bad? if you're so worried about what death has to offer, then stop obsessing over it and LIVE your life! Countless people waste their lives away, keep themselves from having fun and truly being HAPPY, because they're scared of death. Scared of what's going to happen after you die.

That's where god comes in. That's where he ALWAYS come in. God is just a way to sooth our fears about then unknown. Humans need to have explanations for everything, and death is no different. It's MUCH more comforting to think that when we die, god will sweep us up in his big ol arms and carry us up to heaven where we can live again, then it is to think we we die, that's it. It's over, we're maggot food. But if you're really THAT scared of what's gonna happen when you die, then enjoy the life you have NOW. Live life to it's fullest and enjoy the time you have on this planet, cause it's the only LIFE you get.

Me? I don't fear death. Not really. I mean, I don't want to be in agony for hours when I die, I'd prefer it to happen quick, and I have no want TO die, but if it happens, it'll happen yknow? I'm not going to live to see the result, so why should I care? Death is the one constant to life. And death is always pointless, that's the point. But that doesn't mean I'm going to cower in my room, or beg "god" to save my ass, because guess what? I'm going to die. You're going to die. We're ALL going to die! Die die die!

Deal with it.

So, I guess at the end of this gigantic rant, my point is this:

Take off the collar, throw away the leash. Live for YOU. Be good because you WANT to be good, not because some book, or some business, or some unseen bogey man tells you to be. You have free will, the freedom to choose, the freedom to live.

So live.

Typical.

The one day I can spend like 90% of my day on MSN, Space is at WORK. XD; Damnit! :P

Coworker went home sick early this morning,a nd it's been SO slow here all day, I've been bored silly. I've had... 6 clients all day, and 2 were phone calls. Yee. Frikking. Ha. So I've ahd MSN on, but noooobodies talking to me. Emo tears. ;.; *shot* XD

Anyways, I haven't done a real update in awhile.

So let's see... since the incident with Rom, I've cracked down on the leash rule int he house, and for the MOST part, dad's been going with it. A few times he's not listened, but I "nicely" harass him about it afterward. He is getting better with it though, and I always take Rom out leashed now. I bought a 16 foot extendable leash, which Rom really likes cause he still gets to run and bounce around. Though he's nearly pulled my arm outa it's socket a few times cause he tries to dash at top speed. Ouch. Rom's feeling fine and healthy btw, he's just missing a tiny bit of fur on his ear tip, chin, and leg. ....I think the chin scrape though is from doing a header into the wall when he ran down the stairs too fast and missed the corner. XD

Went to WH 2 weeks ago and got my tax return back. The accountant found an error in last years taxes and fixed it, so I'll be getting an addition $340 deposited into my account in a few weeks. SWEET. Plus my return I got this year was like $1500, so that was awesome. It's pretty much gone though. ^_^; But a few hundred on each Visa, and gave dad a few hundred for groceries and things. He said he'll pay me back, but it's really no rush, I'll wait till I'm heading to Cali, then ask for it. XD; Also bought some things for the house, and some clothes, which I desperately needed. I still need clothing though, all I bought was some jeans and tshirt. I need some REAL shirts for work, but I wasn't going to waste time in the store cause I hate trying on clothes. Oh well. Dad and I made a really quick trip, left at 5:30am, and were back by 10:30pm. Nearly creamed 2 moose on the highway, that was scary as hell. The roads SUCKED driving back, one of the worst road conditions we've ever seen.

What else...

Oh! I won a tree.

Yah, a tree. In a territory full of countless tress, I won a damn tree. XD

Mom and I went to a Bingo last I think it was Thursday... it was being held by the Signpost Seniors (a local group dedicated to helping seniors throughout the community), to fund raise for a local senior who needed to get an operation, so we decided to go and support the cause. The operation needs to be done down in Vancouver (there's no facilities in the Yukon that can help her), and the poor lady just can't afford to go. What's cool, is all the businesses in town donated the prizes, so the Signpost Seniors used 100% of the profits from the bingo to give to the senior for her operation. There had to be like 40 people crammed into that little seniors hall, so I really hope they raised a lot that night.

It was fun, I haven't played bingo in years, and I've never won a damn thing. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd game in, and we were supposed to make 3 little blocks or something like that on the card, and I was just playing the game, honestly having no idea WTF I was supposed to be looking for, then I stopped and nudge mom.
"Is this what we're supposed to make?" ^_^;
She whispered back really quickly "YES! Call Bingo! Hurry!"
So I'm like "Uhm..... Bingo?" o_o;
The lady takes my card, and sure enough I got it. Yay me. XD So I picked number (random prizes- anyone who won picked a number and that number was their prize), and I was given an envelope. Inside was a gift certificate to the local Greenhouse for "A tree or shrubs worth the value of $80". So I.... guess that's pretty cool. XD; I can garden worth shit, I kill any damn plants I touch, so... I'll either give the certificate away to someone, or mom said she might use it and get like a lilac tree or something for her yard. Whatever! XD; I just think it's hilarious that I won a TREE. Gotta wait till yknow, summer, but I can use it though lol.

So then we kept playing, and near the end of the night mom got a bingo, and she got a set of cookie sheets and a cookbook as her prize. Which I think is even more hilarious, because mom DOESN'T BAKE. XD I don't garden, I get gardening stuff. Mom doens't bake, she gets baking stuff. GO FIG. XD; But hey, baking sheets are still useful for like chicken n stuff...lol.

It was pretty fun, we shared a table with the owners of the local store, and we kept teasing them that if they win, it'll be stuff they just donated. XD; They're good people, we joked and laughed a lot with them. They actually did pretty good to, the wife won a mug set, and the husband got a free dinner. Everyone at our table got a bingo. We must of been the lucky table!

So... what else.

Yknow what pisses me off? On the way back from WH, we stopped at a little gas station, and I saw one of those "UB Funkeys". It looked cute, so I bought it, cause I heard that the online game was fun. I get home, and stupid me, didn't read the box, I need the STARTER KIT in order to play the game! *headdesk* So, ok, fine. I got on ebay and buy the kit. I also bought 4 more funkeys (not that I know which games they have, but because they were so cute), and what arrives first? The funkeys! I STILL don't have the starter kit! What a tease! 5 little Funkeys that I really wanna try, and I don't have the damn starter kit to play the game yet. How disappointing. XP

Yknow what else is disappointing? When DHL loses your bloody packages. I saw this thing called Pixelblocks online, they're like legos for geeks Click here to see samples!. They're kinda see through little square blocks that you can put together to make pixel characters, or well whatever you want. I have SO many ideas for sprites to make already, and I'm super excited about getting them, and they SHOULD have been here by now.

If DHL didn't decide to ship the box ACROSS CANADA FIRST!!! *headdesk* Seriously! It came from the states right? No problems. I'm watching the tracking number, and it lands in BC. Great! Another 2 days, it'll be here! WRONG. Next day it shows up in ONTARIO. W.T.F. How does it get way the hell over there?! Last update the site gave me is that it's on it's way back, and it passed Edmonton yesterday morning, so I'm HOPING it's on tonight's bus, or Fridays bus at the latest. -_-; Someone MUST have tossed it on the wrong damn bus/plane. How annoying!

Why is it you have to wait the longest for something you want the most?

This week just keeps getting worse.

I come home for lunch today, have my lunch, and Rom naps on the couch beside me. I'm thinking everything is fine. Dad comes home, tells me Rom took off earlier, and he went looking for him, cause the neighbor said the taxi lady said Rom darted out in front of her car and she accidentally hit him. So dad goes looking for Rom, but when he comes home, Rom is sitting on the steps, shaking like a leaf, but otherwise fine, so dad's not sure if it was home or not. I check Rom over, and sure enough, he yipes when he tries to jump up for me. Yup, he got hit. Dad and I check Rom over more, and find one tiny cut on his leg. From what we can tell, nothing is broken, because we can touch him all over and he doesn't seem to wince or whimper, he walks fine, he climbs the stairs and jumps on the couch/bed, but you can tell his muscles are sore as hell in his rear end when he tries to run or jump. He's drinking and eating just fine, and when I took him outside, he did a long pee and it's normal yellow, not a hint of blood. Haven't seen him poop though, so I'll be monitoring that. Mom said if there hasn't been any blood in his urine by now, there won't be, so that's a good sign.

I'm angry though. Very angry. I've warned dad. Told him countless times not to let Rom take off, to put him on a leash, and dad constantly ignores me and likes to live in his little world of denial that "nothing will happen". Well something DID, and we're DAMN fucking lucky it wasn't WORSE! I'm just hoping it's ONLY bruises and that there's nothing more serious going on, but the next day or two will tell. So I've had a long talk with dad, and we're going to put hooks by the door in the house and in the shop, and hang his leashes there and I will HOUND dad to remember to put Rom on his leash when he takes him outside. Enough is enough, we can't keep tempting fate here! Dad said he was scared as hell looking for Rom this morning.

I HOPE HE WAS SCARED. I hope he REMEMBERS that fear the next time he wants to take Rom outside. I don't want what happened to Goliath to happen to Rom! I'm going to try as hard as I can to get this through dads head this time. I want him to put a hook by the doors, and when we go up to WH on Monday, I will be buying 2 extendable leashes, one for the house and one for the shop, so that we can still give Rom room to run, but he's still LEASHED. Plus I'll find his other normal leashes and hang them up to, right beside the damn door, so there's NO excuse for not leashing Rom!

Rom got hurt today, and the only ones to blame are OURSELVES. We have to change OUR habits for HIS sake...

Fuck I feel awful. Depressed, angry, upset, I feel like hell.
